see.arts + crafts

This weekend was devoted to arts and crafts. My initial goal was to make soap and marmalade... I got to the marmalade and only half way through the soup until i realized i was almost out of lye. So i will pick that up tomorrow. Making Marmalade is a 2 day process that requires minimal skill (thus far) and very little "active" time (it is mostly just sitting around in a pot overnight) . I plan to jar the marmalade tomorrow after work. I am very excited about this venture and will post more pics tomorrow... and in case you were wondering, this orange marmalade calls for both oranges and lemons. I used California Oranges (given to be my Michael's very sweet sister Amanda) and lemons from my back yard.

Sat. night I went to a really fun pot luck in the East Bay. I was invited by my pal Michelle who is in Art School here in the City. I recently purchased some clip boards to hang on my walls for misc. stuff and thought what better way to spice things up then to give a few art students a blank clip board and a sharpie! So while at the pot luck I commissioned a few artists to make my clip boards beautiful.
Here are what the clip boards look like and there place in my house...
